A rich and creamy, traditional Indian sweet made with milk and rice, garnished with nuts and raisins.
Ingredients
Method
- Bring the milk to a boil in a deep, heavy-bottomed pan.
- Add the rice to the milk and cook, stirring continuously.
- Once the rice is cooked and milk thickens (to a pouring custard consistency), add the sugar and mix well.
- Add the raisins, almonds and cardamom powder. Cook for a minute and take off the heat.
